Grilled Sweet Shrimp

2 pounds LARGE shrimp
1 cup olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 finely chopped onion
1tsp oregano
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup Maple Syrup
1 Lb Bacon

Begin preparation of the shrimp the night before your trip. Mix ingredients in a bowl and add cleaned shrimp. Chill on ice throughout the night. Package in plasticware and keep chilled. Be sure to eat this meal the first night.
Preheat your grill over hot coals or hibachi. Wrap in bacon and skewer. Lay on the grill over hot coals for several minutes – watching not to burn the shrimp. Serve shrimp with rice, pasta or chilled pasta salad.
